Do you put salt on your food...?

As too much salt is bad for your health, do you put it on your food occasionally, or use it just the same...?

Very seldom, I really have to remember to use salt sometimes or my nails start to split and I feel very fatigued. I don't buy ready made meals, and don't like the taste of salt on most things, so it's easy for me to fall into salt deficiency. The GP who spotted it was amazed. He said that he'd never seen it in the developed world before.

I never add it to food, but my downfall is crisps, which obviously are full of salt. I love 'em, but I eat far too many.

I never add extra salt to my food and when I had crisps I have salt'n'shake without the salt. I take water tablets and use as many unsalted products as I can find.

I always add salt to food when cooking and dislike the taste of anything cooked without it. My husband then adds salt, automatically, to all his food and claims that he needs it as he suffers from cramp badly at times. I do use low sodium salt for cooking so think that is my concession to the health side of it ( started using that when my husband had high blood pressure) I do think that for people who take a lot of exercise, whether at the gym or doing manual work and who sweat a great deal, they are just replacing the salt lost by having it on their food.
